The Church of St Nicholas, built of Kentish ragstone, dates from the 13th
and 14th Centuries and comprises a chancel, nave, South aisle and West
tower. It stands in the heart of the village, famous as the location for
“The Darling Buds of May” television series, high on the Greensand Ridge
overlooking the Kentish Weald. The new organ, completed in February 2008,
sits opposite the Dering Chapel against the North wall of the chancel. |
